This year’s edition of Tomorrowland is shaping up to be one of massive proportions. The past few days have seen a number of high profile artists being officially announced to appear at the festival, and it seems that the lineup keeps getting better and better with every passing day. A few days ago the Belgian National Orchesta, now known as Symphony Of Unity, will be featured at the festival alongside German techno DJ Sven Väth with his label Cocoon who will perform on a vinyl only stage. The concept of a vinyl only stage is not unique to Tomorrowland as it has been showcased at Electric Zoo and Mysteryland with great success. It seems like it’s a move to incite nostalgia of the early days of EDM in the older generation of fans, and it has worked well when showcased at the other aforementioned festivals. With that in mind the veteran of four decades in the music industry is the perfect person to carry out the task. He just turned 50 and is still going strong with frequent performances and appearances at various festivals, shows, and clubs.

Two days ago it was announced that Swedish wunderkind Avicii and underground German house artist Solomun will perform at the festival on Friday, July 24 July 2015. The news was released via Tomorrowland’s official Twitter account. This won’t be Solomun’s first appearance at the festival and although he might seem like a surprise pick he has been on fire for the past year which justifies his appearance at the festival. His participation will also help to balance out the landscape of artists as he is quite unique and will bring an air of diversity to the entire show.
Avicii on the other hand had a somber year in 2014 due to health issues which plagued him and made him unable to perform at a number of festivals and shows. However, since his recovery he has found himself performing again and he’s now back on the festival circuit. Apart from Tomorrowland he has also been booked to perform at Future Music Festival in Asia and Australia in the coming two months.
The biggest names that have been announced so far are Armin van Buuren and Hardwell. The pair was announced a few hours ago and their appearance will definitely raise the festivals profile, not that it’s really needed because it’s already one of the world’s biggest dance music festivals. Armin will perform on Saturday the 25th of July while Hardwell will appear on the closing day, Sunday 26th July 2015. Armin aired his remarkable 700th episode of his radio show A State of Trance, so he has plenty to smile about. He thanked his fans for listening to his show and confirmed his participation in the Tomorrowland festival via Facebook. Hardwell, is no stranger to the limelight and has topped several DJ lists so he’s bound to set the stage ablaze when he performs his set.
While some of the names that have been announced so far might surprise some people it should be noted that a lot of festivals normally have the same people performing hence it might be a deliberate move by the festival’s organizers to bring something different to its audience. As the days pass we should expect to hear more and more names being announced for the festival which so far has announced some formidable acts to perform.
Tickets to the festival, which will take place from Friday 24th July to Sunday 26th July 2015 in Belgium, are available on the Tomorrowland website. You’d better hurry though, because they sell pretty quickly. You can watch the Cocoon announcement in the video below. Let us know what you think of the lineup so far.
